Hey there, fellow tea lovers! Time to separate you from your hard-earned cash again 😂. Honestly, I wasn’t even planning on buying any more Xinjiayang (新佳陽) tea, but when premium stuff pops up out of nowhere like this, it’s literally impossible to say no.

The Estate Located in Xinjiayang Village (新佳陽部落)

Just last week, we launched another Xinjiayang tea. I figured we had stocked up enough on that region, so I shifted my target to areas around Songmao (松茂) and Hehuan Creek (合歡溪). But after hunting around for a few days, I came up empty-handed. Just as I was getting stressed out, this particular batch from the Xinjiayang Village (新佳陽部落) literally dropped into my lap. Now, these leaves aren’t quite as tender as the previous batch, but the tea liquor carries this elusive, mesmerizing shui xiang (liquid aroma) that you just can’t stop drinking.

When the farmer told me it was from Xinjiayang, I actually went into the tasting session with a totally casual mindset: “Well, I’m already here anyway,” “might as well go through the motions,” and “hey, free tea!” 😂

Man, was I wrong. One sip and my mind was absolutely blown. With stuff this good, hesitating for even a single second would be a total insult to my own profession. I had to whip out my wallet and lock it down right then and there.

So, we’re officially going to have two different Xinjiayang spring teas this year. To keep things clear, we’re calling today’s batch “Xinjiayang Village” (新佳陽部落). Compared to the first one, the previous batch is all about that crisp, vibrant tenderness, showcasing that beautiful thick texture you get from young shoots. Today’s batch, on the other hand, brings a fantastic, sweet aroma to the table. They’re both light-fermentation, but if you ask me, today’s batch takes the lead by a hair in terms of overall flavor profile. Since a ton of you already grabbed the first batch, I’m pretty sure a lot of people are going to double-down and collect both.

If you do end up buying both, definitely brew them side-by-side and do a real comparison. Who knows—you might just catch some nuances that I missed!
