About Taiwan Tea
Taiwan tea originated from the Fujian region of China. Two hundred years ago, Chinese immigrants brought tea to Taiwan and discovered that in the island’s high-temperature, rainy, and tropical monsoon climate, tea leaves emit a flavor completely distinct from that in China. Fifty years ago, Taiwanese tea farmers further found that tea grown at an altitude of 1000 meters in the mountains not only has a fruity aroma but also leaves a persistent aftertaste. Since then, Taiwan has been widely recognized by many as the world’s premier producer of high-quality oolong tea.

Flatland Oolong Tea: Unique to Taiwan, including Jin Xuan oolong tea, black oolong, Oriental Beauty, Pouchong tea, and Dong Ding oolong tea.
High Mountain Oolong Tea: Oolong tea grown in high mountain regions. The combination of Taiwan’s tropical island monsoon and significant temperature differences in the mountains imparts a sweet lingering fragrance to the tea leaves. Includes Li Shan, Da Yu Ling, Shan Lin Xi, and Alishan high mountain teas.
Taiwan Indigenous Black Tea: Indigenous black tea varieties from Taiwan Island, such as Ruby Red Tea, Honey Scented Black Tea bitten by Jacobiasca formosana, and Purple Bud Black Tea from ancient tea trees in Taiwan.
