Tianfu Farm is located opposite Lishan and consists of several tea gardens. Situated at an altitude between 1,700 and 2,100 meters, the tea plants are caressed by mountain breezes, resulting in exceptionally prominent sweetness and mountain flavor (shan yun). Its quality is on par with renowned tea regions like Lishan Main Mountain, Songmao, and Xinjiyang.
Although Tianfu Farm is just across the mountain from Lishan, there are no connecting roads here. All vehicles, furniture, and daily necessities must be transported via cableways. Staff members and supplies have to take the cableway near Lishan 85K to arrive. Large items such as vehicles and tea-making machinery must be disassembled, transported, and reassembled on the opposite mountain, making the tea-making process incredibly challenging. Despite this, the exceptional environment here makes all the hard work worthwhile. The Lishan tea produced in the Tianfu Farm tea region is second to none compared to Songmao and Jiayang on the opposite mountain, and it also carries the unique mountain flavor characteristic of the Dayuling and Biluxi tea regions. Therefore, every year many people braving the hardships still come here in search of great tea.
2022 Supplementary Note: Much like the Dayuling tea region, a significant portion of the land for these tea gardens consists of forest land, which has been gradually reclaimed by the government.
