Farm’s Edge Autumn Tea (Harvested August 2) is Sold Out

Good evening, tea lovers! Our Farm’s Edge Autumn Tea (harvested on August 2) is completely sold out—not a single bag left. Normally, we stock enough autumn tea to last through May or June, but this batch sold out as early as February, far exceeding our expectations. Thank you all so much!

Water supplies have been tight in southern Taiwan over the last couple of days, with Tainan and Kaohsiung facing water shortages, and central tea regions like Nantou, Taichung, Yunlin, and Chiayi haven’t seen much rainfall either. Beyond hurting yields, a lack of water really takes a toll on tea quality. The main reason is that fertilizers can’t break down properly, leaving the tea plants without enough nutrients, which results in subpar tea. Visiting the tea regions these past few days—whether Lishan, Cuifeng, or Zhushan—the shared headache among tea farmers is simply “not enough rain.” We’re hoping for favorable weather ahead with steady rain, and that we won’t see another drought crisis like we had with the 2021 spring tea.
