The Honest Truth About Autumn Tea

Our 2022 autumn teas have been out for a little over a month now. Thank you all for your trust—sales have been quite good. Over the past month, we’ve received various feedback from tea lovers, both positive and negative. I’d like to share some of these thoughts with everyone.

The Truth About Autumn Tea

About 90% of the feedback for the autumn tea has been positive. Generally, people found it delicious, great value for money, and noticed little to no difference compared to the spring tea. Some even felt the flavor was richer than the spring harvest.

Of course, there were also some negative reviews, such as a lack of delicacy or a hint of roast typical of autumn tea. I must point out that most of the negative feedback came from seasoned tea drinkers. It’s completely reasonable for these experts to have high standards for tea quality. What caught me off guard, though, was a few people comparing my spring tea directly to the autumn tea—that’s giving the autumn tea way too much credit! Losing that comparison is a fair defeat in my book.

The Truth About Autumn Tea

Based on customer feedback, here is my suggestion: If you are an experienced tea lover who is “accustomed to teas priced at NT$3,000 per 600 g” and has a “very refined palate,” you can safely skip the autumn tea! However, if you are a beginner or usually enjoy teas around NT$2,000 per 600 g, this year’s high-mountain autumn tea is an incredible value.

To brag a little, we had almost no rain during the autumn tea season this past August, so the quality is truly exceptional! If you’ve never tried autumn tea before, this year is the best time to buy. There’s no need to worry—we include a sample with every purchase. Try the sample first, and if you aren’t satisfied, we accept returns and exchanges on all our products!
