Where Is Taiwan’s Most Beautiful Tea Garden? 4 Stunning Hidden Gems

Tea lovers often ask us, “Where is the most beautiful tea garden in Taiwan?” Taiwan is blessed with countless scenic tea plantations, but here are our top four favorites. If you’d like to visit them in person, these four breathtaking hidden spots are definitely worth adding to your travel bucket list:

The Most Beautiful Tea Gardens in Taiwan

LongFengXia Tea Plantation (Zhushan, Nantou) — Autumn and Winter Sea of Clouds
LongFengXia is the highest tea-growing area in Zhushan Township. While the scenery is captivating year-round, autumn and winter offer the most impressive sight, when magnificent seas of clouds roll in and shroud the plantation like a dreamland. The photo above shows the LongFengXia tea plantation surrounded by cloud ocean—isn’t it breathtaking?

Xinjayang Tea Plantation (Heping, Taichung) — Tea Hills Overlooking Deji Reservoir
Located in the Lishan region of Taichung, Xinjayang Tea Plantation sits right along the upper reaches of Deji Reservoir, making it a prime spot for taking in the shimmering lake and mountain scenery. The tea garden weaves seamlessly with the surrounding lake and mountains into a painterly scene of blue skies, emerald waters, and green tea rows, often blanketed in misty fog like a fairy tale. Qilai Mountain Tea Plantation (Ren’ai, Nantou) — Panoramic Mountain Views
Located on the mountain ridge opposite Cingjing Farm, the Qilai Mountain tea plantation sits backed by the Central Mountain Range and directly faces the Cingjing area. Here, you can not only admire the magnificent mountain vistas of Cingjing, but also look far out toward Hehuanshan. Coupled with neat tea bushes stretching like a vibrant green carpet, the view is breathtaking. The photo above shows the Qilai Mountain tea plantation in spring.

Cuifeng Tea Plantation (Ren’ai, Nantou) — Taiwan’s Most Meticulously Kept Tea Garden
Located in Ren’ai Township, Nantou (not Cuifeng in Yilan), Cuifeng is one of the largest tea-producing peaks in Taiwan. With monoculture farming here, the tea plantations are impeccably uniform, featuring picture-perfect, straight tea rows and stunning layers of lush green. You can also gaze out at Mt. Baigu from here, making for another gorgeous view. The photo above shows the Cuifeng tea plantation in July.
