Mi Brick Tea

Mi Brick Tea, also known as red brick tea, originates from Puqi, Hubei, and belongs to the dark tea (heicha) category. It is crafted using black tea flakes and dust as raw materials, which are steamed and compressed. Shaped like a red brick with sharp edges and a glossy, dark surface, it is visually striking. Much like Pu-erh tea, it shares the characteristic of improving in quality as it ages.

Mi Brick Tea is made from black tea processed through traditional methods into thin, flat, rectangular bricks. Premium Mi Brick Tea is not only a delight to drink but has also evolved into a collector’s item and store of value, commanding very high prices in the market. Compared to standard brick tea, Mi Brick Tea features smoother pressing, higher density, and an almost lustrous sheen on the surface, making it exceptionally refined.

When it comes to flavor, because Mi Brick Tea is produced using black tea manufacturing techniques—differing from the green tea characteristics of typical dark teas—it retains the sweet, mellow nature of dark teas while yielding a redder liquor. Its taste sits uniquely somewhere between dark tea and black tea.
