To all our tea friends who have been eagerly waiting for LongFengXia: I’ve managed to source a great batch, so our LongFengXia Winter Oolong is officially locked in. On top of that, we have a pleasant surprise—Budongyu is finally making its long-awaited comeback!
The last batch of Budongyu was an absolute standout that blew everyone away. Unfortunately, the quality in the following few seasons didn’t quite hit the mark, so I decided to hold off. Now that we’ve found a batch this good, I naturally had to snap up a bit extra. The leaves are heading to packaging over the next couple of days and should be available next week.
As for LongFengXia, I’ve got both good news and bad news. The good news is that I’ve secured some truly top-tier tea—we’re talking “king-level” quality. The bad news is that prices are going up again due to an extreme tea shortage this year. I initially thought about buying in bulk to negotiate a better deal, but the tea factory owner just told me, “We don’t even have enough to sell” and “We’re allocating stock fairly.” In other words, you can’t just buy extra even if you want to, which gives you an idea of how competitive this tea is.
