The moment you taste this tea, your immediate thought will be, “This is absolutely spectacular.” Even if you try to nitpick, you won’t find a single flaw. If there is one “imperfection,” it’s that the sourcing cost is on the higher side—but in the face of such pinnacle quality, it is undeniably worth every penny.
The Estate: Next to the NTU Experimental Forest, Meifeng, Hehuanshan
Located just above Cingjing and right next to the National Taiwan University (NTU) Experimental Forest, this estate sits at the absolute highest altitude within the entire Cingjing tea region. Beyond its extreme elevation, the plantation boasts world-class management. Because the estate manager lives right on-site, every detail—from fertilization and irrigation to pest control—is executed to absolute perfection.
Pristine Isolation: Zero Contamination for Export-Grade Quality
Another exceptional advantage of this tea garden is that it shares no borders with neighboring vegetable farms. The Cingjing area is filled with vegetable plots alongside tea gardens. Coordinating pesticide standards between the two is notoriously difficult, which often raises concerns about agricultural chemicals drifting onto the tea leaves. In the past, we have found high-quality teas nearby, but always felt hesitant upon seeing massive vegetable fields right next door—especially since we export to foreign markets, where pesticide compliance must be absolutely flawless.
Fortunately, this tea garden has zero issues with that. Surrounded entirely by lush, natural forest, there is absolutely no risk of chemical drift!
A Peak Altitude of 2,050 Meters
The highest point of this tea garden reaches an impressive 2,050 meters. Don’t underestimate this elevation; at 2,050 meters, very few competitors can match it outside of legendary terroirs like Fushoushan, Huagang, and Dayuling. This superb alpine environment, coupled with excellent sunlight exposure, creates a truly distinctive and unparalleled High-Mountain Lhuan (terroir flavor).
Our Challenge to You: Take this tea and brew it side-by-side with the absolute finest high-mountain tea you currently have. Experience the difference for yourself!
