The drought did leave its mark; looking closely, some tea gardens still show some yellowing and uneven growth, but compared to other regions, it’s quite minor. After hoping for spring shoots to emerge through the drought of February and March, the tea farmers finally saw their heavy hearts put at ease over the past few days. Even better, the quality is better than expected, and the manager could feel the tea farmers’ relief and joy during our chats.
