The Ruifeng tea area is located in Meishan Township, Chiayi County, at an altitude of 600–1,300 meters. Our store manager considers Ruifeng High Mountain Tea produced at high altitudes to be just as good in quality as the Taihe (Zhangshuhu) tea area, but at a more affordable, high-CP value.
High output, strong competition, and well-managed tea gardens in the Ruifeng tea area
Our store manager is a big fan of the Ruifeng tea area. With its great yield and consistent quality, it consistently produces exceptional teas. Compared to Ruili, Taixing, Taihe, and Bihu, the tea gardens here are much better managed (with significantly fewer betel nut trees), placing them among the top tier in Alishan overall.
The main tea cultivar is Qingxin Oolong, which easily holds its own against the Taihe tea area and even surpasses the Zhangshuhu tea area. And the JinXuan tea is simply unbeatable—our store manager personally believes it is the finest JinXuan tea-producing region in all of Taiwan.
Spring tea is harvested in April, and Winter tea from late October to November. Ershui tea, Summer tea, Autumn tea, and black tea are also available.
Getting there: From downtown Meishan, take industrial road 162 甲, pass through Taiping Village, and you will arrive in about 40 minutes. From Zhuchi, take County Route 166, which also takes about 40 minutes.
Manager’s Review: Both the Qingxin Oolong and JinXuan teas are exceptional. The scenery is stunning, and the summit observation deck is well worth a visit.
