The Taiping tea area is located in Meishan Township, Chiayi County, primarily producing Qingxin Oolong and JinXuan teas at altitudes ranging from 900 to 1,100 meters.
The Taiping tea area can essentially be considered part of the same growing region as the Taihing tea area and Bihu tea area. Taiping sits at a slightly higher elevation, yielding a higher proportion of fine teas than Taihing, though it comes at a slightly higher price.
▼ After exploring the Taiping tea area, you can grab a bite in the old street, walk across the Taiping Sky Bridge, and conveniently visit the Bihu and Taihing tea areas along the way.
Directions: Accessible via County Highway 162. If coming from the Taihing direction, take Township Road 154.
Shop Manager’s Review: Excellent quality, upper-mid-range pricing. The JinXuan tea is exceptionally good.
