Reviews of HuaGung Area 5 Tea
Our tea master notes that the flavor profile of HuaGung Area 5 is quite similar to that of Area 4. However, because Area 5 reaches elevations of up to 2,200 meters—slightly higher than Area 4—its tea quality is even more exceptional. HuaGung Area 5 shares a similar positioning with Area 4, acting as a “lower-altitude HuaGung tea” or a “higher-altitude Cuiluan tea.” Furthermore, due to the higher market value of the teas, management and fertilization in Area 5 tea gardens are far more meticulous than standard Cuiluan tea gardens.
Starting from Lishan, take Highway 89 (Lixing Industrial Road), go straight (take the right fork) at the upper intersection, and you will pass the Chunghwa Telecom station in about 5 minutes. Right below the station is the tea garden at an elevation of 2,200 meters. Another 5 minutes down will bring you to the intersection of Lixing Industrial Road and Cuiluan Road, where the elevation is around 1,900 meters with many tea gardens nearby. Turning left at the intersection and driving for 5 minutes leads to Cuiluan Church, while turning right takes you to the Cuiluan North Line tea growing region.
