Lin Sang Coffee’s ‘Chokoreeto’, ‘Kaori’, and ‘Brazil Cerrado’

A while ago, recommended by a friend, I picked up some new offerings from Lin San Coffee. This time I chose three coffee beans with different style profiles to try out, and I thought I’d share my thoughts with everyone.

Chocolat

Chokoreeto

The first one is Chokoreeto. I heard this is Lin San Coffee’s top bestseller, and as soon as you open the bag, a rich coffee aroma fills the air. It tastes truly unique—enjoyed black, you can taste the bittersweet notes of single-origin chocolate. What’s most amazing is that when I added milk, it turned completely into a mocha taste without adding any extra chocolate. I never imagined pure coffee beans could produce a flavor like this.

'Kaori'

Kaori

The second one is Kaori. This is one of Lin San’s classic signature blends, ranking second in sales right behind Chokoreeto. What makes this coffee so special is its natural sweetness, with none of the sourness or bitterness typical of standard coffee. It shines even more when paired with milk, tasting almost as if sugar was already added. I highly recommend this to anyone who dislikes acidity but still loves coffee.

Brazil Cerrado

Brazil Cerrado

The last one is Brazil Cerrado. This is probably one of the most widely known coffee beans out there, but Lin San’s roasting technique gives it a whole new flavor profile. Their Cerrado has none of the usual acidity you’d expect; instead, it delivers a rich, full-bodied mouthfeel with a pleasantly sweet lingering finish. I was truly impressed by its depth of flavor.

Overall, Lin San Coffee has exceptional roasting expertise, especially when it comes to dark roasts. Each option brings out the unique characteristics of the beans without any over-roasted bitterness. If I try any of their new releases in the future, I’ll be sure to share my thoughts again!
