Shibi and Caoling are located in Gukeng, Yunlin, near Fanzitian and Sanjicengping, and are considered part of the ShanLinXi tea lineage. With an elevation ranging from 700 to 1,300 meters, the high mountain tea here boasts a wonderful mountain aroma.

The highest elevation of the Shibi and Caoling tea regions reaches 1,300 meters.

The Shibi area is close to Fanzitian and Sanjicengping, reaching altitudes of up to 1,300 meters. Caoling is lower, sitting at around 700 meters, with more tea gardens concentrated in Shibi. This area essentially acts as a sub-tea region for Fanzitian and Sanjicengping.

Shibi is about a 20-minute drive from Fanzitian and Sanjicengping, and the flavor of the tea is quite similar. Due to its lower elevation, the yield of exceptional tea is not as high as in Fanzitian and Sanjicengping, but the overall quality remains quite refined. It is a well-known hiking destination, and the tea offers standard value for money.

Directions: Take Route 149 toward Caoling and Shibi.

Manager’s Review: The mountain aroma is similar to that of Fanzitian, with a good chance of producing fine tea. The downside is the wider variation in quality. The teas are mostly sold under the names of ShanLinXi tea, Fanzitian tea, and Sanjicengping tea.
