Spring 2026 Tea Update: High-Altitude Tea Regions

Quick update for everyone: the high-altitude tea regions, sitting at elevations above 1,600 meters, have officially begun their harvest!

I honestly expected production to be down due to a lack of rain, similar to what we’ve seen in Alishan and Shanlinxi. But after touring the area this week, I was pleasantly surprised! Not only are the tea gardens in Lishan (梨山) and Ren’ai Township (仁愛鄉) maintaining their usual standards, but some are actually outperforming last year’s yields. It seems the high-altitude climate combined with well-established irrigation systems is really paying off for this year’s harvest!

All these high-altitude regions are now in full harvest mode. I’ll be out scouting for the best picks over the next few days, and as soon as I find some top-tier stuff, I’ll get it listed right away! 👍👍
