By August 15th, a large portion of the autumn tea in Cuifeng, Cingjing, Songgang, and Meifeng has already been harvested. Industry peers who haven’t stocked up yet should act fast—this year’s Cuifeng and Cingjing teas are truly exceptional in both quality and quantity. You’d be doing yourself a disservice not to buy a bit more.
Our store manager mentioned back in early August that the tea leaves from Cuifeng and Cingjing could easily score a high 90 points, and with favorable weather, we’d have a chance at producing phenomenal teas. Sure enough, early August brought clear skies and perfect weather conditions, making harvesting incredibly smooth. The result is an autumn harvest that far exceeds expectations—it has been a long time since the manager has seen such an incredible autumn tea season.
This season’s autumn tea isn’t just outstanding in quality; it also boasts an exceptionally high baseline. Even plantations with mediocre management grew decent leaves. Combined with prime tea-making conditions, the manager didn’t encounter a single disappointing batch during tastings, with even the lowest-scoring teas hitting a solid 60. Situations like this are truly rare.
We suspect this comes down to great leaf quality, an early arrival of the cold mountain weather, and gorgeous weather providing ideal harvesting and processing conditions. All these favorable elements aligned to create an exceptionally stellar autumn tea year.
The manager will be stocking up on more autumn tea this year, especially from the Cuifeng, Cingjing, and Qilai regions. We’ve already locked in several selections and are currently doing final evaluations. Please bear with us, tea lovers—they will be gradually listed in the next few days!
