Different seasons and production methods can also affect the flavor of your brew. For example, spring teas tend to have a lighter flavor, so you can slightly increase the amount of tea leaves and steeping time. Additionally, whole-leaf black tea differs from broken-leaf black tea; broken leaves release flavor faster and yield a stronger brew, so the amount of tea and steeping time should be reduced. There is no absolute standard for brewing Assam Black Tea—feel free to adjust the tea quantity and steeping time to suit your personal preference, and after a few tries, you’ll find the method that works best for you.
