Dayi 8592 Pu-erh Tea

Dayi 8592 Puerh tea, also known as the “Purple Heaven Ripe Cake,” has been produced since 1985 and is a classic among Dayi ripe puerh teas. The 8592 Puerh is a Seven Sons Cake Tea produced by the Menghai Tea Factory. It was originally commissioned by Hong Kong’s Nantian Trading Company. Because the outer packaging features a purple “Heaven” (天) character, it became known as the “Purple Heaven” (紫天). Later, Hong Kong’s Lam Kei Yuen Tea Co. commissioned another batch featuring a red “Heaven” character, which became known as the “Red Heaven” (紅天). Due to their exceptional quality, both the Purple Heaven and Red Heaven have become highly sought-after collector’s items among 8592 Puerh teas. There are also many counterfeit versions on the market today.
