Huang Zhi Xiang Dancong: One of the Top Ten Fenghuang Dancong Aroma Types

Huang Zhi Xiang (Gardenia Aroma) is a tea tree variety of Fenghuang Dancong. Because its leaf shape resembles that of the Tuan Shu tree, it was originally called Tuan Shu Ye (Tuan Shu leaf). Through long-term cultivation and improvement, its leaves became more oval and broader, leading to the alternative name Da Ye Xiang (Large Leaf Aroma). Because its aroma resembles that of cape jasmine (yellow gardenia) flowers, it is most commonly known as “Huang Zhi Xiang.”
