Yongchuan Xiufa originates from Yongchuan District in Chongqing and belongs to the green tea family. Known for its picturesque Bashu landscapes, Yongchuan is a major tea-producing hub in the Sichuan region. Yongchuan Xiufa is crafted from early spring buds consisting of one bud and one leaf. The production process involves harvesting, fixing (shaqing), rolling, moisture shaking, shaping, and drying. Premium Yongchuan Xiufa is characterized by tight, slender, and delicate leaves with a vibrant green color and prominent white hairs (pekoe). It yields a clear, emerald-green liquor with a lingering, high aroma and a fresh, mellow taste.
